What Are Marketing Degree Requirements? You may be wondering what requirements you will need to complete a marketing degree. A typical bachelor’s degree in marketing is made up of classes in business management, marketing research, statistics, economics and finance.

A bachelor’s degree in marketing requires completion of at least 120 semester hours required for graduation (180 quarter hours). Students should plan to complete their undergraduate studies within four years of admission.

Marketing degree course requirements

Marketing degree course requirements vary, depending on the school and your major. Here’s an overview of what you might expect to take at a four-year institution:

  • General education courses: This is the foundation of any bachelor’s degree program, consisting of classes designed to give students a broad understanding of their field. These classes typically include English composition, mathematics, science and social sciences courses.
  • Marketing electives: These are typically required for most marketing majors—and if they aren’t required by your university or college (UC), they should be strongly recommended as electives because they will help you better prepare yourself for success after graduation by helping you understand how companies operate in today’s digital world.* Marketing core: The core curriculum provides students with knowledge in various areas that are relevant to their chosen field. It includes introductory courses like market research methods and consumer behavior theory that introduce theoretical frameworks used throughout an individual’s academic career.* Major electives: These courses build upon foundational knowledge gained from general education requirements while providing exposure to advanced topics related to one’s major field of study.* Minor electives: Classes taken outside one’s major can be beneficial because they give students exposure not only to new subject matter but also other perspectives from which different fields approach similar problems; these may be required or optional depending on each student’s specific school.* Certificate programs: Certificates are usually available through UCs as part of certificate programs that offer training around specific topics such as entrepreneurship or international business management; completing these certificates can prevent them from counting toward any more advanced degrees (such as master’s) awarded after completing another diploma program later down road

Marketing degree elective requirements

If you want to work in marketing at a large company or agency, expect to earn your Bachelor’s degree. If you want to go into digital marketing or analytics, however, there are many ways to get the training necessary without earning any type of formal degree. In fact, there are so many opportunities available that it can be difficult for people who want to enter this fast-growing field but don’t have access to traditional college courses!

If you plan on working in digital advertising after graduation then consider online courses instead of pursuing an actual degree program first — this is particularly true if there’s no way around getting some experience first before making such big decisions about your future career path (like I mentioned earlier).
