What GPA Do You Need To Join The Army?

What GPA Do You Need To Join The Army? It’s a given that everyone in the Army is smart. Heck, it takes brains just to sign up for the Army nowadays. But what kind of GPA do you need to join? And are your grades all that matters?

Army Minimum GPA

The Army minimum GPA requirement is 2.0, which means that you must have a high school diploma or GED and have achieved a C average on your most recent report card. You must be a US citizen to join the military, but residents of the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are eligible for an exception to this rule. In addition, you must be between 17 and 34 years old at time of enlistment; if you’re younger than 17 or older than 34, consider joining one of our other branches (such as the Air Force). Finally, since you’ll be required to pass a physical fitness test during boot camp training, ensure that your health is good enough before joining any branch of service in which they require such testing (and performing well on)!”

Army Rangers

To become a Ranger, you need to be physically fit and able to pass the Army’s physical fitness test. You also need to be able to complete all of the required pre-training or basic training tasks.

Once you have successfully completed your initial entry training, you will be assigned to one of the three battalions in your regiment (regiment is a group of soldiers who serve together). These regiments are:

  • 1st Battalion – 75th Regiment/75th Ranger Regiment at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia
  • 2nd Battalion – 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia

Army Cadets

As a member of the Army Cadets, you will be required to maintain a 2.0 GPA at all times. The program is open to young men and women between 17 and 22 years old who have completed high school or its equivalency (GED). You must also be physically fit, with no criminal history.

In order to qualify for this program, applicants need to be US citizens with no prior military service or felony convictions on their record.

Army Warrant Officers

Army Warrant Officers are a type of officer in the U.S. Army. They are commissioned by the President and can hold ranks up to WO-5, the highest rank an Army Warrant Officer can achieve.

Army Warrant Officers are highly skilled professionals who are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of Army equipment. They also provide technical advice on matters related to military weapons systems or other complex technologies or equipments used within their areas of expertise (such as aviation).

You can join the army with a 2.0 GPA, but it depends on many other things as well.

The Army needs to know that you have the right qualities to be a soldier. These include being physically fit and able, having good communication skills, getting along well with others and being responsible, reliable and honest. You’ll also need to prove that you can handle the physical demands of your job.

To determine whether you meet these qualities, the Army uses its Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The test consists of three events: push-ups, sit-ups and a two-mile run on a track or road course. Your age will determine how many push-ups you must do in one minute; your gender determines how many sit ups in one minute; and your time determines whether or not you’re fast enough to pass the run portion of this test which is also based on gender (men have longer times than women).

Conclusion

So, if you’re thinking about joining the military, then it’s important that you understand what GPA you need in order to be eligible. As we talked about here today, there are several factors that can affect your chances of getting accepted into a branch of service such as having good grades or being physically fit enough to pass the strength test. However if all else fails then it may be worth considering enlisting through another route like applying as an officer candidate which will give you access to more opportunities down the road if everything works out well!
